With our November release of Live Maps 8.8, our development team has continued the amazing work on the Object explorer feature found in Live Maps 8.7’s release. This release also allowed us to go back over bugs and issues based on feedback from our users, and ensure they are addressed and fixed. So a big thank you to the contributors!
This is an in place upgrade and will not affect any of your existing Dashboards or Services created. We highly recommended that you update to the latest version so that you can enjoy a fully optimized experience of Live Maps. Updating Live Maps will not affect your SCOM environment. If you’d prefer to test it in your staging environment first, please contact Customer Success to help you get a free staging license.

Object Explorer Dashboard (overview)
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
This new dashboard allows you to quickly group together objects of any different class within the front end of Live Maps Portal. It can be found under the Main menu -> Object explorer. The page will have a class search pane on the left hand side and a heat map layout on the right hand side. Just target anything you wish and select it and Live Maps will add all objects from the class. On the right hand side you will have a few options like a filter for specific objects and a sort button to lock them in place.
From here you can save the dashboard. After which it is shareable, instantly and no fuss! Go ahead try it for yourself.
Adding performance widget and other customization are simple, click on the downwards facing arrow and edit the dashboard and you will be back in the trusted summary dashboards editor immediately.
Microsoft Dynamics CRM
Live Maps already provides many out-of-the-box service maps so you can see at a glance the health, relationships and status of your most important services, such as: SCOM, Active Directory, Exchange and SharePoint, Citrix, Veritas Enterprise Vault and Veeam out-of-the-box services. We have added this release the Dynamics CRM Perfect for providing a direct window into SCOM to your service owners, but without all the hard work.
Dynamics CRM
This will work with the last version of the Microsoft Dynamic CRM. It can be tailored to meet your service with the ability to add essential other objects such as your Databases, websites , etc.. This will, like all other out of the box services in Live Maps, immediately build your SLO tracking and reporting for your CRM system once deployed.
