Savision just released a new and improved version of Live Maps. Live Maps v8 comes with many powerful new features and enhancements that will help you stay in control of your IT environment. In case you missed part 1, where I highlighted some of the features and enhancements to Live Maps, you can view it here.
We are really proud to be constantly improving our Business Service Management solution for System Center, and here are some of the other features that we have added to Live Maps in its newest release:
New out-of-the-box services
Live Maps comes with out-of-box service models built using the most recent information available from Microsoft and subject-matter experts. An out-of-the-box service is basically a management pack that can be imported in a SCOM environment that is already monitoring a specific application. After this management pack is imported all the dashboards and workflows are created automatically.
We know the time of our users is very valuable and we also know a lot of our customers use the same applications. We already had services for Lync 2013, Active Directory, Exchange 2013, and SharePoint 2013. That is why we created 6 new out-of-the-box services, based on our customers’ feedback.
In Live Maps v8 we have added Exchange 2010, Skype for Business 2015, System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, Windows DHCP, Windows DNS and Windows Remote Desktop Services.
BMC Remedy Integration
Live Maps was already able to push services including their related configuration items to the ITSM solutions System Center Service Manager and ServiceNow. In this release, we have added support for one other ITSM solution: BMC Remedy.
BMC Remedy uses a CMDB solution called Atrium Configuration Item Database (CMDB) with which we have developed an integration. This way, you can feed BMC Atrium with the data that is already discovered by System Center Operations Manager and Live Maps. With this data accessible in BMC Remedy, the user can quickly see what the impact of a change on a configuration item will be on their business and also what business services are affected by an incident.
We are very excited to be constantly improving our solutions and would love to share them with you and help you improve your IT environment. If you still haven’t, try Live Maps yourself. You can request a demo with one of our experts or check it out yourself by requesting a free evaluation key.
